In partnership with Team Senegal

On the 7th of July, we celebrated the culture of the Senegalese people. This event took place on the 64th year of Independence from France for Senegal. Everyone was wearing beautiful bright colored clothing and accessories highlighting their traditional dresses.

We arrived on the scene early and the hosts helped us get set up. It was a sweltering hot day and they worked hard to make this event a complete success.

Adama (right), Maimouna (left), and Ben (not pictured) organized SenFest to celebrate the Senegalese people, their culture, and their food.

All age groups wanted to learn CPR. Everyone from 10 years old up to 70 years old were participating in this learning experience.

It was blistering hot and the youth pushed themselves above and beyond to learn and practice CPR. This image right here shows the determination, tenacity, and care of the future.

This was our first festival and we made a big difference in the community. The hosts want us to attend next year and we’re looking forward to it. Thank you SenFest!
